Latin Percussion
For the last 7 years Riera has been photographing and writing articles on behalf of Latin
Percussion and supporting their artists at important West Coast musical events such as the
Monterey Jazz Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival and the NAMM Show. Special thanks to Martin
Cohen and Steve Nigohosian of Latin Percussion for providing years of "Once in a lifetime" access
to the top artists and greatest musical events on the planet.

This was the first CD produced for the Latin Jazz Youth Ensemble of San Francisco. Recorded in
July 2005 at Yoshis Jazz House by Bud Spangler. Mixed by four time Grammy Nominee and two
time Grammy winner, Greg Landau. Mastered by John Greenham of Area 51. Co-Produced by John

Latino Entertainment Partners
Riera founded Latino Entertainment Partners (L.E.P.) with Attorney and Events producer, Bill
Martinez in 1996. Together with their families and volunteers, they produced over 50 concerts
with Cuban legends such as Orchesta Aragon, Los Muńequitos de Matanzas, Los Papines, Tata
Guines, Changuito, Los Van Van, N.G. La Banda, Crisol with Roy Hargrove and Chucho Valdes,
Jesus Alemany and Cubanismo, Orlando Maraca Valle y su Otra Vision, Vocal Sampling, Jane
Bunnet and the Spirits of Havana, Pancho Quinto, Sierra Maestra and Bamboleo. They also
produced events with Latin music legends such as Eddie Palmieri, Giovanni Hidalgo, John Santos
and the Machete Ensemble, Ralph Irizarry and Timbalaye, The Spanish Harlem Orchestra and a
Tribute to Cal Tjader with alumni Poncho Sanchez, Claire Fischer. While L.E.P. is no longer in
existence the “Partners”, Riera and Martinez, continue to collaborate on cultural projects with arts
groups such as Yerba Buena Gardens Festival and La Peńa Cultural Center. In 2003, they
launched the first San Francisco Latin Jazz Festival at Yerba Buena Gardens.
